About us
A local outfit that looks after solar — and nothing else
Power Up Solar Cleaning is a locally owned outfit working across Collin County, Texas. We started with one job — cleaning panels for North Texas neighbours — and added critter guards and attic ventilation because those were the two things homeowners kept asking about once we were on the roof.

Why we do it this way
Solar maintenance is a trust problem before it's a technical one
Most homeowners have no way to check what happened on their own roof. You cannot see the array from the ground, you were not up there during the work, and the person who did it is the same person telling you it needed doing. That asymmetry is why this trade has a reputation problem.
The way we deal with it is boring and it works: photograph everything, quote in writing before we start, and be willing to tell you the work can wait. Michael does the estimates himself, so the person telling you what your roof needs is the person who will be standing on it.
We are deliberately narrow. We are not a solar installer with a maintenance side business, and we are not a general handyman service that also does panels. Cleaning, critter guards, and attic ventilation is the whole list — which means we do not have a bigger sale waiting behind the small one.
We only benefit if your system keeps working
We don't sell panels, inverters, or systems. There is no hardware upgrade at the end of our estimate, because we have nothing to upgrade you to.
The estimate is the price
Written before we start, held after we finish. If we find something that changes the scope, we stop and talk to you rather than adding it to the invoice.
“You don't need this yet” is a real answer
Plenty of roofs we look at do not need a critter guard, and plenty of arrays do not need cleaning as often as people assume. Saying so costs us one job and earns the next three.
We stay inside our trade
Cleaning, exclusion, ventilation. Electrical, roofing, and wildlife trapping are other people’s licences, and we will point you to them rather than improvise.
Credentials
Ask us what we carry — you'll get a straight answer
We would rather answer coverage questions in person, with the paperwork in front of you, than make claims on a web page you have no way to check.
It is easy to type "fully licensed and insured" onto a homepage. It is harder to produce a current certificate of insurance on request — and the second one is what actually protects you. Ask us at the estimate visit and we will tell you exactly what we carry.
The same goes for the work itself: the scope and the price are written down before anyone gets on your roof, and photographs of the finished array come back to you afterwards.
Customers
What people say after we've been out
Verified Google reviews from customers across Collin County.
“Michael responded quickly after I filled out the contact form on their site with a quote and available times. He kept me posted on his arrival time the morning of the appointment and was even a few minutes early! The cleaning was top notch! You can see the difference between the before and after pics. Reliable, friendly, efficient, and no upselling! I can't recommend Power Up enough!”
“This is the best thing you can do as a homeowner to help keep your solar panels clean. The dust and pollen ragweed was so thick. But POWERUPSOLARCLEAN made a world of difference thx.”
“Michael is very nice, respectful, and soft spoken. Impressive work considering I had never had my solar panels cleaned before and it's been 8 years since I got them. Highly recommend his work. You can see for yourself. Be sure and call him!”
